My First Tutorial



This is my first ever attempt at writing a tutorial so, please, be kind.

We will be making this scalloped circle...


Supplies needed ~
Paint Shop Pro (I use PSP 9, you can d/l a free trial of PSP X2 *here*
Mura’s Meister Copies ~ download *here*

Let’s begin ~
Remember to always save often!

Open a 500 by 500 transparent canvas.
Flood fill with white.

With foreground color closed off and background color set to #c0c0c0, using your preset tool set at eclipse and ‘create on vector’ (while holding the shift key down) draw out a 25 by 25 a circle.

Center circle.
Go to ~
Objects-align-center in canvas
Right click on your vector layer-convert to Raster layer

Using your eclipse tool again, with color #808080, draw a 10 by 10 circle.

Center circle.
Objects-align-center in canvas
Right click on your vector layer-convert to Raster layer
Go to selections-select all-float-defloat
Go to your layers-click raster 1-hit delete on your keyboard
Click on raster 2-right click-click delete
Selections-select none

Go to Mura’s Meister-Copies with these settings ~
Encircle
Circle
Number - 8
Shift X - 12
Shift Y - 12
All else - default



Back to the eclipse tool and color #c0c0c0, draw out a 50 by 50 circle

Center circle
Objects-align-center
Right click on vector 1-convert to raster layer
Right click on Raster 2-Merge-Merge down



Go to Mura’s Meister-Copies with these settings
Number - 20
Shift X - 75
Shift Y - 75
Leave all the other setting as they are



Back to the eclipse tool and color #c0c0c0, draw out a 405 by 405 circle

Center circle
Objects-align-center
Right click on vector 1-convert to raster layer
Right click on Raster 2-Merge-Merge down



And there you have it..
Save it as a psp image or psd and use it as your template.
